Watch us in Action
Here are a series of videos exploring a range of movement from acroyoga to dance, presented beautifully with film makers or captures at events.
Sensual Partner Dance
The dreamy partnership had only started working on a combination of Zouk, AcroYoga & Contemporary Dance weeks before this documentation. Pip Elysium & Bryndon Tarafa started their practice in Bali, Canggu which is close to the ocean. Although in the middle of a pandemic, their willingness to create a beauty piece in movement; explores a form of healing, art, and creativity: a true celebration of what an expression of two bodies, minds, and spirits in a moving meditation can express.
AcroYoga Dance Choreography
Using the art of acroyoga, Pip Elysium & Tom Bem create a methodical & thought out movement piece. From exploration and use of yoga, to flying on another persons feet - their connection to one another show off what their mind and body can achieve. During the process of the choreography, Tom Bem was compelled to write and produce the song ‘Connection’ This beautifully crafted song explores the feeling of communicating spiritually with another person.
AcroYoga Washing Machine
Whirling around in one of the very last working 18th Century wooden factories in London, Ugly Duck - Pip Elysium & Tom Bem capture a moving moment in AcroYoga; where time around them almost becomes still. The choreography is of one of the last moments where Pip & Tom show off their working partnership of moving grace. The moving lyrics of Ed Sheeren depict that nothing lasts forever, but a memory is always held.
AcroYoga Flow (Intermediate)
Using the art of acroyoga, Pip Elysium & Tom Bem create a methodical & thought out movement piece. AcroYogaDance Memories with Students
This was one of the only captures of AcroYogaDance in training at the Old Warehouse in London Bridge, September 2019. A time before COVID, not realising how lucky we were and how this at the time was our normal with laughter and fun. This group were completing the year long Teacher Training, now fully qualified and yoga alliance accredited teachers.
AcroYoga Sequence (Beginners)
Pip & Tom flow through the warehouse in London with a beginners acro yoga sequence. This flow is one of the first exciting flows we teach students once they have learnt foundations. The mermaid washing machine, although is stunning - we have started to take out for home practice and have put it in one of our more advanced flow, due to the complexity of proportions & awareness/safety
AcroYoga Sequence (Inter/Advanced)
A playful AcroYoga collaboration between Pip Elysium & Melanie (Lady Base) show off the strength and delicate movement in Bali. A collab of two skilful practitioners and teachers exploring the use of and defying gravity. With very little effort; the two of them in a short space of time create a simple choreography, outlining the use of lines, washing machines, hand to hand & dynamics.
The Art of Trust
Trust in life (more)Technically, it isn't a great idea to be leaning over a river doing acro yoga. Luckily for Eugene Butcher & Pip Elysium; & the dedicated partnership they had, this sort of thing was easy and effortless. Not recommended to try, although a great example that with the right partnership & practice - where you can challenge your practice
AcroYoga Performance
Acro Yoga and Dance Performance for Brighton Fashion Week 2011-2014There's a good story to the first performance where you will see AcroYoga. Unfortunately Pip Elysium broke her hand (3rd meticarpol) and on her way to recovery she couldn't resist finding a way to perform with Eugene Butcher as she was asked by Sarina Poppy the fashion designer to be in her next collection.Eugene and Pip carefully choreographed a piece where no hands were used.
